He takes the group of students and gives them hard manual labour in his residence that is also in the confines of the school as part of a project of the school to host its teachers in the school compound. ; the manual work include gardening, slashing, fence pruning and other household chores such as washing of clothes and utensils. With the cowardice of this group of students to oppose this move due to the fear of a harsher punishment from the administration, they proceed and do this punishment. The teacher’s irresponsibility makes him abandon the students carrying out the punishment alone and due to lack of supervision; they go on smoking in the confines of Mr. Shah’s compound. Mr. Shah, has been recently separated from his wife and in the course of these students doing the punishment, the estranged wife comes back in Mr. Shah’s house while Mr. Shah is present and a bitter argument leading to a fight that the students witness ensues. The bitter wife ends up hurling insults at the students before leaving. In anger too, the teacher, Mr. Shah, adds more punishment to the students by giving them more chores and other harder gardening work. All this happens without the knowledge of the higher administrative powers of the school.

As dental hygienists, we will see a variety of patients in our dental office. Each patient will present with a unique medical history. It is essential to know how to treat our patients to the best of our ability, so that they are comfortable and cared for throughout the entire treatment process. They might have a certain disability, disorder, or disease that may alter or affect how we treat them. My patient is a 58-year-old female, who presents with controlled type II diabetes, hypertension, and possibly thyroid tumors that have been there for a few years. She is under the care of a physician for her diabetes and associated controlled hypertension. I recommended several times that she see her physician after feeling the tumors around her neck and thyroid. Her medical history also indicates that she had rheumatic fever twelve to thirteen years ago, has arthritis in her knees, and occasional headaches. She is 5†3 and weighs 216 pounds. Her blood pressure was 126/80, pulse wa s 88 BPM, respirations were 20, and her temperature was 98.2 Fahrenheit. She doesn’t smoke and I made sure that she had eaten lunch and wasn’t hungry. She is currently on 100 mg Metformin for her diabetes, 120 mg. Lisinopril for hypertension, 40 mg. of Lovastatin to lower cholesterol, 80 mg. of Aspirin to prevent cardiovascular disease, and daily insulin. How will you rank identified elements. As a statistically-based method to reduce variation in organization’s processes, Six Sigma is used as an all-encompassing business performance methodology. This has helped ABC labs to Align their business strategy to critical improvement efforts thus Mobilize teams to attack high impact projects, accelerate improved business results and also govern efforts to ensure improvements are sustained. Since the launch of Six Sigma, it helped the organization to increase their effectiveness by 60% and provided ample security checks for improvement. Other important aspect is developing leadership skills in the organization which is itself a very complex task. Amongst senior cadre in the company are people from diverse background, ethnicity and race, hence was key focus area. As part of its HR initiatives, the company conducted advanced programmes such as Foundations of Organization Learning (FOL) and Visionary and Leadership Planning (VLP). It also conducted a series of communication exercises about the change initiatives to all its employees across the country. ABC labs are also using 360 degree purely as a leadership development tool, completely separate from  annual appraisals, which are mostly about meeting targets. ABC’s top executives have each been assessed by at least four subordinates, four peers and their immediate boss. Each executive, in turn, has assessed at least ten others. Given that the 360 degree assessment form is five pages long and contains 50 questions, this makes for a massive logistic exercise. But assessing only the top management doesn’t quite serve the purpose, since it is the middle managers that need to be promoted to senior leadership positions to meet the organization’s talent needs. Also to get around this, ABC labs has designated counselors, called Leadership Group Facilitators (LGF), senior managers who are not in the recipients immediate work orbit, assigned the task of presenting the feedback dossier and immediately discussing its findings. Strategy mapping is a powerful business tool. Strategy maps show graphically how organizations create value for customers and stakeholders. Good strategy maps communicate strategic intent internally and externally, and are one of the most effective communication tools an organization can use to build alignment, accountably, and a focus on results. Hence ABC labs has created well defined performance management system which binds individual KRAs with identified Organization’s competencies. Out of strategic initiatives, Balance scorecard is the most prominent and identified element. ABC labs started with critical approach about â€Å"what† and â€Å"why†, before â€Å"how†. Remember, performance improvement initiatives are â€Å"how’s†; organization vision, goals, and strategy are â€Å"why’s† and â€Å"what’s†. This strategy was entirely focused to develop all the stakeholders within and outside the organization. Missing pieces like customer value proposition, strategic themes, mission and results in financial perspective was aligned through the Balance card. 2. Key researchers Dean and Sharfman, (1993); Dutton, (1993) Haley and Stumph,(1989) studies the nature of the decision and says that research into  decision making cognition and labeling suggests that the same internal or external stimulus may be interpreted quite differently by managers in different organizations or even within the same organization. Resource Dependence Theory tries to explain the relationship of different variables that affects decision making and also acts as a dominant approach in contemporary strategic management. Mergers and acquisitions have been one of the primary domains of inter-organizational action to be analyzed under a resource-dependence perspective. In past 1 year, ABC labs have acquired 2 business entities which lead to power imbalance. During acquisition, it was priority to ensure to enroll matrix structure as a way to create a balance between global product groups. As per the ABC Labs strategy, in this way management attention would be focused and balanced dimensions. Also given a clear specification of the purpose of a unit and of type of relationship with other units, unit managers will be able to work out most of the details for themselves. However the stakeholders of acquired companies were quite firm on maintaining the pre-dominant structure in their groups when got acquired. This created conflict, however with the series of management discussion and meetings, all were synced for the intended outcomes which include: An improved reporting structure that is helpful in complex decision making Efficient usage of shared resources that provide opportunities for skill development Competencies to deal with legitimate multiple sources of power, and The sharing of knowledge between divisions There were some inadvertent outcomes too which included excessive overheads in management, time losses with the frequent meetings also to resolve conflict and power struggle between divisions. ABC Labs is however being able to conceptualize now its organization structure and bring strategic power in action. Different theoretical approaches, such as institutional theory, strategic contingencies theory, resource dependency theory and decision-making theory were explored. Lory Ice Religions of the WorldJournal 1 DATE \@ MMMM d, y January 15, 2017 I, Lory Ice, have read and understand the Religions of the World syllabus for this course. I understand that I am responsible for abiding by all policies outlined and described in the document. I understand that I am responsible for abiding by any and all policies for attendance, participation, and grading as outlined in the syllabus.I decided to take Religions of the World because I believe every student should be required to take some sort of a religion course during their undergraduate career. I feel like the skills that you would learn from studying religion could be valuable in everyday life. When taking a class like Religions of the World, one will not only gain a deeper understanding of their own religion, but also learn how to set aside their own beliefs and open themselves up to studying religions that are not their own, allowing you to relate to various people and cultures from a purely objective point of view. I believe this will be a facilitating and very enlightening course to study.As for myself, I grew up without being raised in church. I did however have a vague belief in God from growing up hearing bits and pieces about Him, and Jesus Christ. My mother had more of a religious view on life, where as my father had more of an agnostic view. We never really spoke about religion, but my mother would say things from time like, " Look at how beautiful God has made the world around us." I would just get this warm feeling when she spoke of these things, but I never really investigated or searched for God. I guess I just never really thought about that sort of thing. I was young and caught up in things like, the newest hairstyles and fashion trends.It wasn't until I became pregnant with my first child that I would feel Gods presence for the first time. I was nineteen years old, pregnant with my first child, and having to raise him on my own with no help from t he father. It was the scariest and most stressful thing I had ever had to deal with in my life. While I was trying to get a handle on the stress and emotions of my pregnancy, I felt this overwhelming urge to draw closer to God. Something about motherhood makes a woman really reflect on who she is and who she wants to be. I knew my future child would need a Godly mother, I also knew I fell far from that mark. This caused me to spend a lot of time reflecting on the characteristics of a Godly woman and how to become one. So I turned to church and tried to find answers to my many questions. I went to a few different churches, but was unsure of which church was the right church for me. I didn't want to end up going to the "wrong one." The thought of studying the wrong religion scared me, so I began to read about various religions, and leaders. All which claimed to have the "right" answers. The story, or rather myth, of Jesus Christ spoke to me in a way that the others did not. I was stil l, and to this day am still, wary of attending church. So I decided to buy a NIV Bible. I just read it myself, and tried to gain a better understanding of how to become a Godly woman. I am still to this day on my spiritual journey, and trying to figure it all out, by it I mean the truth. I'm taking it all one day at a time. Hence what sparked my interest in taking this class. I suppose however if someone asked me what religious group I belonged to, I would identify as a Christian. After reading the assigned chapters, I learned about two different groups and theories of religion. One group of people focused on the unique aspects of human culture to relate to supernatural beings, dentists, and forces. The other group focused on how religion functioned in its surrounding society. I also learned
